An Experienced Build Partner
I am proud to offer a set of comprehensive skills that cover the full spectrum of product development from prototype to packaging. My expertise ensures cost effective manufacturable components with user focused outcomes. Your project, no matter what size, will benefit from and end-to-end evaluation to ensure you invest your resources in the best possible way.
Mechanical Design
I use advanced 3D software modeling to create models, assemblies and drawings to get your ideas from the drafting board into reality. I have experience in prototyping, sheet metal design, CNC machining, sand casting, product integration of third-party components, electrical harness design, and hands on mechanical experience building products.
Product Management
Not all products are created equal. The difference between success and failure can start in the earliest stages of development. To avoid unprofitable concepts, a viability test that uses the proven techniques from Pragmatic Marketing is recommended. Using this approach puts your best foot forward and can help make a good vision even better by listening to your target market.
Manufacturing Support
Assembling the product is a key part of the process to get something to market; building it and getting it to customers is a critical component to your success. Creating your manufacturing line, generating assembly and test procedures, building test stations, setting up Kanban’s, and quality control are aspects of building components I can support.
Technical Documentation
Documentation is necessary to support a product from production to the hands of the customer. Manufacturing documents such as work instructions, test procedures, and user manuals ensure quality. I can generate all the content, diagrams, and renderings to create a functional, user-friendly package.
Integration Testing
Taking a product or component and stress testing its capabilities through various conditions, both in the lab and in the field, is how successful products should enter the marketplace. Testing to learn is one of the most useful practices in developing an idea. The knowledge gained from integration testing is what will differentiate your product from the competition.
Project Management
One of my favorite sayings is knowing what to do when. Laying out key milestones and identifying the critical path helps mitigate risks that can derail a project. I have experience running successful multidisciplinary projects that communicate effectively with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
Bill of Materials
Not understanding what a product will cost, including all the little details, can make or break your project. An accurate, detailed Bill of Materials plays a crucial role in product success. Creating product cost breakdowns has been part of the projects I’ve worked on since my first co-op in 2004.
